2021 Week 17: Covid-19 Cases Drops


Nigeria, in the seventeenth week of 2021, recorded a total of 467 cases of COVID-19.

On average, the country had over 66.7 daily records of cases between April 23th and April 29th, 2021.

According to Nigerian Center for Disease Control, the country had recorded a total number of 45 cases on Friday, 23th of April. This, however, increased to 51 and dropped to 35 cases recorded on Saturday and Sunday respectively.

At the beginning of the week, NCDC reported a total of 37 cases on Monday, 26nd of April. While 156 and 81 cases were reported on Tuesday and Wednesday respectively.

The week ended with 62 cases reported at the end of Thursday, 29th of April.  The total number of COVID-19 cases at the end of the week rose to 165,005 with a death rate of 2063 and 155,041 discharged cases.
