Lagos state has recently released 88 approved centres for Covid-19 vaccination following reports of fake vaccines in circulation.
Early last week, the Nigerian government warned its citizens against fake coronavirus vaccines.
Nigeria’s National Agency for Food Drug and Administration Control (NAFDAC) urged the public to be aware as fake vaccines could cause “Covid-like illnesses or other serious diseases that could kill.”
The Lagos centres are spread across the state’s 20 local governments and 37 local council development authorities to allow for accessibility

The state government has also warned residents to avoid non-accredited centres that may be dispensing fake versions of the vaccine.
