2021 Week 12: COVID-19 Cases Drops To Over 800


Nigeria, in the twelfth week of 2021, recorded a total of 866 cases of COVID-19.

On average, the country had over 123.7 daily records of cases between March 19th and March 25th, 2021.

According to Nigerian Center for Disease Control, the country had recorded a total number of 130 cases on Friday, 19th of March. This, however, dropped to 112 and 86 cases recorded on Saturday and Sunday respectively.

At the beginning of the week, NCDC reported a total of 131 cases on Monday, 22nd of March. While 214 and 96 cases were reported on Tuesday and Wednesday respectively.

The week ended with 97 cases reported at the end of Thursday, 25th of March.  The total number of COVID-19 cases at the end of the week rose to 162,275 with a death rate of 2036 and 149,882 discharged cases.
