#Daily Chart: States with the highest domestic debt in Nigeria, Q2 2023

Nigeria owed a total of N54.13 trillion ($70.26 billion) in domestic debt. Domestic debt represented 61.95% of total national debt (measured in naira). With N996.44 billion, Lagos State has the biggest domestic debt in the second quarter of 2023, followed by N465.40 billion for Delta. Jigawa State, at N43.13 billion, has the lowest internal debt, followed by Kebbi, with N60.94 billion.
