The number of COVID-19 cases recorded in the nineteenth week of 2021 totalled 299. This is a rise from over 244 cases recorded in week 18 .
The average number of cases recorded per day is 42.7. At the beginning of the week, 39 cases were recorded on Friday. This dropped to 30 cases on Saturday.
However, the confirmed cases rose to 37 on Sunday and 49 cases Monday, 10th of May 2021.

According to the Nigerian Centre for Disease Control, cases dropped to 47 and 44 on Tuesday and Wednesday, 11th and 12th of May respectively. At the close of the week, NCDC reported that 53 cases were recorded on Thursday.
The total number of cases reported in Nigeria rose to 165,612 with 2,066 deaths. The total number of discharge patients increased to 156,387.
