The number of COVID-19 cases recorded in the fifteenth week of 2021 totalled 553. This is a drop from over 499 and 600 cases recorded in week 15 and week 14 consecutively.
The average number of cases recorded per day is 79. At the beginning of the week, 67 cases were recorded on Friday. This subsequently dropped to 60 cases on Saturday.
However, the confirmed cases dropped to 26 on Sunday– its lowest record in the week, while 70 cases Monday respectively.

According to the Nigerian Centre for Disease Control, cases rose to 120 and 65 on Tuesday and Wednesday, 20th and 21th of April, respectively. At the close of the week, NCDC reported that 100 cases were recorded on Thursday.
The total number of cases reported in Nigeria rose to 164,633 with 2,061deaths. The total number of discharge patients increased to 154,643.
